If there's one thing we love... it's this: news about Akhal-Tekes showing the world what they're made of by successfully competing in sports!
Owner Carolyn VanDyke is very pleased with the progress of her part-bred Akhal-Teke, Tazym (Gindarkh 13 x Tab's Fire), bred by Allegra Steck. Some of you may remember a post I did about him a while back with adorable photos that show-cased his super-snappy form over fences:

And thanks to a very devoted team... it sounds like "Tazy" has been progressing in leaps and bounds and promises to only get better. In less than 6 months of show jumping he has moved up from 2'6 (0.76 m) to 3'6 (1.07 m), and is currently schooling 4'3 (1.3 m) at home.

The following video was recorded by the family of Tazym's young rider, Lindsey Brizendine, at the Chagrin Valley Farms "A" Show, February 18 - 20, Adult Jumpers Classic & NARHA/Ariat Medal Classes in Bainbridge, OH. The pair finished: 3, 5, 2, 1!
